Overview
At 531 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated between 0.50 and 1.00 inches of rain has fallen across portions of the San Rafael Swell, including Muddy Creek, Ramp, Cistern, Ding, Dang, Bell, Little Wildhorse, Crack and Chute Canyons. Flash flooding is ongoing across within these drainages.

Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons and normally dry washes. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... The Chute of Muddy Creek, Little Wildhorse Canyon, Ding and Dang Canyons, Crack and Chute Canyons, as well as portions of Goblin Valley State Park.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
