Description
What
South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 40 to 50 mph expected.
Where
NW Kenai Peninsula and SW Kenai Peninsula.
When
Until noon AKDT Wednesday.
Impacts
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Trees are still mostly green and fully leafed, causing them to be more vulnerable to damage from the strong winds.
Additional details
A strong fall storm moving into the western coast of Alaska will produce strong and gusty southerly winds moving up the Cook Inlet starting this afternoon and persisting into tomorrow morning. The strongest winds will be focused along the coast from Anchor Point north to Kenai and Nikiski. The gusty southerly winds will continue through late tomorrow morning before slowly diminishing later in the afternoon.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.
