FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Emery County in central Utah... * Until 800 PM MDT. * At 524 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the San Rafael Swell, including Iron Wash, Ernie Canyon and Eardley Canyon. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 0.75 inches in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons and normally dry washes. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Iron Wash, Ernie Canyon, Eardley Canyon, and other nearby slot canyons within the San Rafael Swell.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
