Overview
At 618 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Carlock, or 10 miles southeast of Eureka, moving northeast at 25 mph.

60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

Impacts
Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Woodford and northwestern McLean Counties. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 3 and 12. Interstate 74 between mile markers 113 and 125.
Instructions
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
